The Hearing Doctor is an audiologic company that provides diagnostic and treatment for hearing Loss tinnitus/hyperacusis. The Hearing Doctor mission is to help people who suffer from tinnitus, hyperacusis, hearing loss, Vertigo, dizziness, or imbalance. Our main goal is to make sure that tinnitus and hyperacusis sufferers seek help when medical treatment has not been effective.

Meet Dr. Sol Marghzar

Sol Marghzar, Au.D, CCCA, certified by the American Board of Audiology, is the clinical director of our offices. He has been an audiologist since 1993. Dr. Marghzar was one of the experts invited by the American Academy of Audiology to develop “Guidelines for Evaluation & Management of tinnitus”, published in 2004. He has evaluated and treated over 40,000 patients since 1997. His special interest in treatment of tinnitus and hyperacusis encouraged him to receive training from Dr. Pawel Jastreboff at the University of Maryland in 1997. Dr. Marghzar has been an expert on several legal cases for which he has testified in courts or during arbitration process. He was one of the 14 clinicians who was selected by Neuromod to attend the first training in Dublin for the new FDA-approved treatment, Lenire, in 2023. Between him and Dr. Shakyan, who is also trained in Lenire tinnitus treatment, they have fit the highest number of Lenire tinnitus devices in Southern California with the approximate success rate of 80%. Dr. Marghzar teaches a doctoral course on Tinnitus treatment at CSULA. The clinic provides other types of treatment options for patient who are not a candidate for the Lenire tinnitus treatment.

Meet Dr. Shakyan

Dr. Jane Shakyan AuD. completed her fourth year residency at The Hearing Doctor in 2022 and since 2024 is a certified and trained Lenire expert providing treatment to tinnitus patients.
