Ears for Life
About Ears for Life Audiology Corporation, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Specialists in Brain-Based Hearing Care
We are Doctors of Audiology who specialize in understanding how the brain processes sound, not just how the ears hear it. Because hearing involves complex neurological pathways, our approach focuses on both auditory function and brain-based listening skills.
Advanced Audiology Services in Manitoba
Currently, we provide several specialized audiological services that are not widely available in private practice throughout Manitoba. As hearing science continues to evolve, we remain committed to offering innovative and evidence-based care.
Our specialty services include:
- Auditory Training Therapy
- Auditory Processing Assessments
- Tinnitus Assessments and Management
- Hyperacusis Evaluation and Treatment
- Lenire Tinnitus Treatment
By combining advanced diagnostics with individualized treatment planning, we help patients better understand their hearing challenges and develop effective management strategies.
Comprehensive Hearing Care for All Ages
In addition to specialty services, we provide complete hearing evaluations and amplification solutions for patients across the lifespan. From pediatric patients to older adults, our goal is to support communication, learning, and quality of life at every stage.
Furthermore, we take a patient-centred approach to care. This means we carefully consider lifestyle, listening environments, and personal goals when recommending hearing technology or therapy options.
Personalized, Evidence-Based Care
Above all, we believe hearing healthcare should be personalized. Therefore, every assessment and treatment plan is tailored to the individual rather than based on a standard protocol. Through education, collaboration, and ongoing support, we help patients build confidence in their hearing and communication abilities.
Tinnitus Expertise at Ears for Life Audiology Corporation, Winnipeg, Mantioba
Specialized Tinnitus Care in Manitoba
We are proud to be the only clinic in Manitoba offering dedicated tinnitus education sessions and therapy. Because tinnitus affects each individual differently, our approach focuses on understanding your unique symptoms, lifestyle, and listening challenges.
Individualized Treatment Approach
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution, we develop personalized care plans for every client. First, we complete a comprehensive assessment to identify contributing factors. Then, we guide you through education, counseling, and management strategies designed to reduce tinnitus distress and improve daily comfort.
Certified Training and Clinical Expertise
Our team has obtained Tinnitus Care Provider Certification and completed specialized training in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT). Therefore, patients benefit from structured, evidence-based treatment methods grounded in current tinnitus research.
In addition, tinnitus education plays a central role in care. By helping patients understand how tinnitus works within the auditory system and brain, we empower them to regain confidence and control over their symptoms.
Ongoing Support and Long-Term Management
Although there is currently no universal cure for tinnitus, effective management is possible. Consequently, we provide ongoing support, therapy guidance, and practical tools that help reduce tinnitus awareness over time.
Our goal is simple: to help you feel informed, supported, and capable of living comfortably despite tinnitus.

Andrea Richardson, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology • Registered Audiologist • Hearing & Communication Advocate
Andrea Richardson is a Doctor of Audiology and Registered Audiologist with more than 15 years of experience providing hearing healthcare in both public and private practice settings. Since beginning her audiology career in 2011, she has remained a strong advocate for improved access to hearing and communication services across Manitoba.
Andrea has dedicated much of her career to expanding audiologic care for underserved communities. She spent six years working as an educational audiologist within First Nation communities, where she developed and implemented hearing programs for regions without direct access to audiological services. Her work helped bring essential hearing care, education, and support to families who otherwise faced significant barriers to care.
In addition to her clinical work, Andrea played an important advocacy role in Manitoba’s healthcare system. She contributed to the successful passage of legislation supporting Universal Newborn Hearing Screening, helping ensure that every baby is tested for hearing loss at birth — a critical step toward early identification and lifelong communication success.
Andrea is passionate about helping individuals of all ages improve communication, participation, and overall quality of life through personalized, patient-centred hearing care.
