Lenire Patient Tells Her Tinnitus Relief Story on CBS
Tinnitus patient at the Tinnitus Treatment Center of Philadelphia, Clara Flores, spoke with CBS Philadelphia’s Stephanie Stahl about living with tinnitus and the noise-free life she got back after treating tinnitus with Lenire.
Clara was joined by her audiologist and Tinnitus Treatment Center of Philadelphia owner, Dr. Gail Brenner. Watch the CBS feature on Lenire to hear more about the game-changing effect Lenire is having on tinnitus patients.
“Can you imagine hearing that all the time?” remarked CBS Philadelphia’s Stephanie Stahl responding to her colleague’s comment on the tinnitus noise audio sample.
Unfortunately, this is the reality for 25 million Americans living with tinnitus noise every hour of every day.
What is Tinnitus? What Causes Tinnitus?
Tinnitus, commonly known as ringing, hissing, or buzzing in the ears, is a condition that causes a person to hear internally-generated noise when there is no external sound. Hearing loss is the leading cause of tinnitus but there are many others including:
- Loud noise exposure
- Earwax buildup
- Medication side effects
- Hearing system damage
- Méniere’s disease
Many people will experience temporary tinnitus after a loud concert. For others, tinnitus can be a lifelong condition that can have a significant impact on a person’s life. Clara Flores believes her tinnitus was caused by an ear infection.
“This ringing that you hate and you cannot stand, you cannot turn it off. You become depressed. You get angry. Your relationships suffer.” said Clara Flores.
Many tinnitus patients who sought treatment from their family doctor, ENT, or audiologist were told there was nothing that could be done. Now, a growing number of tinnitus patients are turning to Lenire for proven relief from tinnitus.

Effective Tinnitus Treatment Device Lenire
“We’re teaching the brain not to pay attention to tinnitus. It has been a game-changer.” said Dr. Gail Brenner when asked about Lenire.
Lenire is the first and only FDA Approved bimodal neuromodulation tinnitus treatment device. Lenire’s clinically proven bimodal neuromodulation combines sound stimulation with mild tongue pulses to retrain the brain to reduce attention to tinnitus.
A peer-reviewed paper published in Nature Communications Medicine showed 91.5% of real-world patients benefited from treating tinnitus with Lenire. 88% of patients recommended Lenire to treat tinnitus in the TENT-A3 controlled clinical trial. Evidence in Lenire’s clinical trials and with real world patients is consistent.

Lenire Did Magic To My Brain
Clara listened to soothing sounds with the mouthpiece for 12-weeks twice a day for half an hour per session and she says the device did “magic” to her brain.
“And now it is just like “oh yeah I have it [tinnitus]” but it doesn’t bother me, I forget about my tinnitus” said Clara.
